Whaleback Mountain

Financial Aid

Financial aid is part of the mission, not a footnote. It helps keep Whaleback within reach for people who want to ski, ride, learn, and return.

Access matters

Whaleback’s public financial-aid page says the mountain offers assistance to families or individuals in need so that people can participate regardless of financial status.

How the current public process works

Whaleback currently asks applicants to email whalebackfinancialaid@gmail.com.

The public page asks applicants to include:

  • your name, phone number, mailing address, and email address
  • the athlete’s name and age
  • your relationship to the athlete, such as parent, grandparent, or guardian
  • a specific description of the request

Examples the public page gives

The public page says requests may relate to things such as:

  • season passes
  • after-school or school-based programs
  • rental equipment
  • other Whaleback learning programs
  • vacation camps

What happens next

Whaleback says requests are processed in the order received, and that someone from the team will follow up by phone before any offer is finalized. In other words: include a working phone number.

A respectful note

Financial aid pages should feel straightforward and dignified. If you are unsure whether your request fits, ask anyway. The mission of the mountain is clearly tied to access.
